No-Limit Hold’em Mystery Bounty tournaments add extra excitement to bounty poker tournaments. During the tournament’s ‘In the Money’ (ITM) stage, eliminate an opponent to earn a mystery cash prize.

Mystery Bounty poker tournaments run similarly to traditional bounty formats but with a few exciting modifications.
Prize Pool – split between the standard payouts based on overall ranking position and the Mystery Bounty prizes. For example, a $50,000 prize pool tournament weighted 50/50 would have $25,000 distributed for the standard payouts and $25,000 for the mystery bounty payouts.
Random Mystery Bounty Prizes – The amount of each Mystery Bounty reward is calculated once the tournament reaches the ITM stage. If 50 players reach the ITM stage, there will be 50 Mystery Bounty prizes. Each prize will have a random cash value amount.

Per traditional poker tournaments, the Mystery Bounty tournament will also award prizes based on the amount of players and overall ranking positions.
For example, if the prize pool is set to award 15% of the player field, and there are 100 entries, 15 prize places will be allocated.
Important Tip: Mystery Bounty rewards can only be collected when you eliminate an opponent during the ITM stage of the tournament. Therefore, based on the example above, when 15 players remain in the tournament, the ITM stage begins, and Mystery Bounty rewards begin.

Here are some simple tips to remember when you play Mystery Bounty tournaments at KKPoker.
BUILD & PRESERVE YOUR CHIP STACK
Like any traditional poker tournament, your first aim should be to reach the ITM stage. You will then have the chance to win Mystery Bounty rewards. Like in Bounty/PKO poker, having a big chip stack will be a huge advantage, as you will have more opportunities to eliminate other players who hold fewer chips.
ADJUST BASED ON THE TOURNAMENT STAGE
Until the ITM stage of the tournament is reached, Mystery Bounty tournaments are played like traditional NLH tournaments, as eliminating your opponent does not offer a bounty reward.
Therefore, your willingness to call all-ins should differ in each tournament stage.
Typically, your all-in calling range would be tighter in the early/middle stages of the tournament and wider during the ITM stage, especially if you hold a large chip stack! Remember, collecting those Mystery Bounty prizes will be very rewarding!
CHECK THE AVAILABLE PRIZES REMAINING
It’s a good idea to check the remaining bounty prizes available as the ITM stage progresses. You may want to adjust your all-in calling ranges based on whether lower or higher prizes are still available.
